Adventures in Wonderland

Did anyone else watch Disney's "Adventures in Wonderland" when their kids were little? Well we watched it every morning and when we went to MGM Studios in 2002, it was still a working studio. We went on the Backlot tour and we were pretty excited to see Alice's house where they filmed the beginning and end of the show.

This layout is for a "Gone but not forgotten" challenge about extinct attractions. I used papers and embellishments from BasicGrey, mostly the "Hey Girl" collection. This is a perfect collection for so many of my Disney layouts. I just love the little Candy Buttons so I had to add a couple of those too.

I used Sketch #102 from my Sketch Savvy blog. Check it out HERE

Time to Skip - Basic Grey Hey You and Fiction

It's a tradition started by my dad and now there must be skipping when we go to Disney. I took this photo on our first day as soon as we got to Downtown Disney when the boys could not contain themselves any longer. Of course its totally photo worthy when its a couple of grown boys. At the time they were both about 6'3". LOL!

I love this BasicGrey "Hey You" collection and it goes so well with the "Fiction" collection. I used the Snippets, Die Cuts, Flags, buttons, and canvas alphas to go with as well. Just really fun stuff for just about any photo. I love the little die cut that says "this is something Magical", its almost like it was made for Disney pages.

March Scraptastic Club kit cards

I still had a bit of the March Scraptastic Club "Everything I am" Kit left after my layouts so I made these two cards. I added the cardstock, the button and the twine from my own stash. I love the little flair/button!

Best Gift Ever *March Scraptastic Club Kit

I am back with another layout using this pretty March "Everything I am" Kit from Scraptastic Club. This is my brother's Christmas puppy, Bella, and she is just the cutest thing EVER! You will be seeing more of her because I took so many photos over the holidays. Oh, since I know someone will ask, Bella is a tiny Champagne toy poodle.

I used a couple of stamps from the "Everything I am" and "Mr Brightside" stamp sets. I applied a thick layer of white acrylic paint on a scrap of pink patterned paper and then pressed the stamp into the paint to basically stamp off the image. I love the texture and look.

I also created a paper bow since Bella is destroying the bow that I tried to make her wear. LOL!

"Welcome Home"

That's just one of my favorite parts about staying on property at Disney. When you arrive at your resort they greet you by saying, "welcome home". Its especially that first day when you arrive when every moment is magical. There is a site that I love that has an extensive list of Simple Disney Things and #111 is "Welcome Home" and I try to incorporate them in my layouts sometimes, so I used it as my title. I used the "All About a Boy" collection by Echo Park and this fantastic starburst paper. I cut it apart, added stitching and used it as my background. I had to add a few little chipboard things that feature in this resort's pop culture of the '50s - '80s. The ends of the buildings have giant 3 story tall yo-yos, and bowling pins. It's just a fun place to stay.

Two Scraptastic Layouts!

This is my first month to join the very talented Design Team at Scraptastic Club kits! I got the Everything I am Kit along with the Everything I am Add on and stamp set but I also got the Mr Brightside stamp set because its so great. I have two pages finished and couldn't wait to share. I love the soft linen tones of this kit and it goes with so much. I have 3 more pages to share soon too :)  These two pages are my beautiful sister getting started with her wedding plans. Things do not always go as planned though. Even though she fell for this dress, when I went with her and her Maid of Honor to take photos of the alterations, she had time to look at the dress more and realized that is is NOT "the" dress for her. I still wanted to document that first dress.

I used stamped some arrows, cut them out and cross stitched them to the page and added a few rhinestones to the crown for a bit of bling since her dress had some sparklies.

And for this second page I stamped the "life just happens" stamp with black ink on a scrap of paper and stamped again on the layout so that the image would look lighter like a grey ink rather than black.  There were some great word stamps this month, and this one is perfect for my page.

page 2 and 3 Photo Freedom

You know when you want to scrap and you just have a little bit of time - this is the perfect time to pull out some Photo Freedom pocket pages! I just did a couple of pages real fast and wanted to share. I used the Happy Holidays Mini theme for the first page because I was still putting away holiday things. For the second page, used the Echo Park Photo Freedom Volume One collection with a little bit of Scoot Collection and some chipboard from All About a Boy, because I just had to use that little chipboard football.
